Nguyen Hùng Cuong is an awesome Origami artist working in this traditional art, but giving extra contemporary bites to his models. Nguyen transforms delicate papers into absolutely stunning folded creatures. He creates his original origami pieces from a handmade Vietnamese paper known as Dó. In an interview with All Things Paper, he says that he first got into paper art at the early age of five but that he hasn’t embraced origami as his full-time career, despite the fact that his work has been featured in numerous books and magazine feature on the art.
In this post I will show you his Origami Skull foldel by me. I’m not a master folding from CP myself, I got started with a ‘simple’ design by Nguyen Hung Cuong, the Skull. What I meant by simple is that it has lesser crease line to fold. But lesser crease does not necessarily mean easy to fold. For a test fold, I simply printed the CP onto a A3 size paper and folded along the lines. Red and blue lines, differentiate the valley and mountain folds. The challenge is how these fold collapsed onto each others. It took me a few trial before I finally got it right.

We had several days without publish a new work of origami, this time we will make a Origami Owl, of course, always using the basic techniques that we have been doing origami.
This origami owl is not hard to make at all. The owl is really fun to fold and cool to look at. Try it yourself and realize it is a figure that is quite realistic and beautiful, so it is worth making this owl paper.
Complexity: Intermediate. Time to fold 30 min. Folded from one classic uncut square origami black and white paper about 30 cm x 30 cm. The dimensions may vary depending on how big you want the Owl.
Instructions for how to fold Stephen Weiss’ Origami Owl. Level: Intermediate. Diagram can be found in the book “Origami Zoo” by Robert Lang and Stephen Weiss. Visit http:/ / www.marigami.com for links.

[artisticluvluv] and again at 4:42 >:( [MonicaAndMei] thanks for uploading [bunicarica] Attention to make this you need some advanced skills i dont recomand this to beginer’s [JazzieGirl4884] i just wasted 9 mins and 38 secs of my life and 2 pieces of paper : ( [Luz Osorio] thank you i neede this for a school project [Angie725] i had that book O.O [Luz Osorio] needed not neede [Alexandra D] This took my 45 minutes, but it was so worth it! XD [Ishimilated] Great! I needed an hour but it was worth it, it is beautiful! [Isabel McConnon] I loved this owl; The instructer is wonderful and he makes easier so we can learn it. [artisticluvluv] I lost you at 2:47 :’( [Valeria Garcia Gomozova] this is like super hard!!!! [Marigami] @owlsforever1999 With a screen name like ‘Owlsforever’ I can see why you’ve tried so hard! This is a great model, but you need previous experience with folding paper since it is an intermediate level model. [Mia Diawara] this is awesome! i had no trouble whatsoever completing it, and i’ve never done origami like this before. keep posting videos! [2001smileygirl] how dose he make the wing [tanner6197] Thank you. It took me about 30 minutes to fold. [mommawood] Very clear video. Slow enough to follow, always in focus. Thanks for labeling it as intermediate – to let beginners know it is not a beginning fold, yet with the wonderful instruction, and patience, a non folder should be able to create an owl. Remember, the first of a fold is usually not perfect. Thanks for posting. [Thugbert0] AWESOMNESS THANK YOU THANK YOU

Origami Owl by Davor Vinko. Folding Instructions
Origami Owl by Davor Vinko Designer: Davor Vinko. Folder and Photo: @OrigamiKids Complexity: Intermediate. Time to fold 15 min. Folded from a square blue cardboard with canvas texture, about 30 cm x 30 cm. The dimensions may vary depending on how big you want the Owl. This origami owl is not hard to make at all. Folding the wings were a little awkward, but really cool when you see them take shape. The creases were slightly harder to make due to the thickness of the cardboard but still manageable. The owl is really fun to fold and cool to look at. Try it yourself.

Comments: [Hamish Beals] 12:00 NOPE NOT DOING THIS IMPOSSIBLE, NOT THAT ADVANCED NO NO NO NO NO. THANK YOU FOR THIS AWESOME BUT IMPOSSIBLE THING THAT MADE ME SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VERY HUMBLE, ALL PRAZE DAT +Jo Nakashima YOU ARE THE GOD MY SAVIOR AND MY VERY ROLE MODEL!!! [CBA] Great job! I’m more used to simple or straightforward origami, where a fold is a fold, and you keep it there, geometric models, cranes, more geometric and sharp than curved origami like yours……. I like your form of origami, not the kind that looks like wrinkled and smashed paper. [Hugo Fontes] Creases: OK Collapsing: not that okay… I need a lot of practice on this… [T34MK1LL3RHUM] I made it for the first time. Not that hard, but it can be tricky sometimes. Nice vid. If anything you could add that which side of the paper has to be de colored side if you want to make it from two-colored paper. Love your videos ! [Geetika Mittal] Great model! Davor! And Great tutorial! Jo! [liz nunez] Wow amazing!! [linaJuliethvargas] WOW Congratulatios!! is fantastic. [Zdravko Vila] Can you remake this [Sergio Del Zotto] If the camera weren’t so close if could be esier to fold! Th instructions are not clear, even when I fold it properly. [Golden Fire] I made it! Thanks! =) [MaddyPlaysMinecraft] U have to talk in ur vids I couldent tell what the hell u were doin [MaddyPlaysMinecraft] White side up or down? [TheOnceAndOnceOnly] I love this owl. I’ve been trying forever to get a good origami owl. All the others I’ve found are either too easy or too complicated. Thanks from Minerva (the owl) [eastofthesun1000] i like it [ForeverAloneSad] 16 x 16 [MrOrigamimaster1000] Man, I got stuck on the first step… [vampirivirivampiriva] mine not even could collapse. dunno if it’s me or not totally clear instructions. [ZeroPhoenixDown] Really hard to see what you are doing when you move out of the view of the camera, especially towards the end [ariannah duran] this is awseoem but waaaay 2 hard
